The Houl’s came by today for Hunter’s first pics and to grab a quick family shot.  Hunter’s such a cutie and even though he was playing hard to get with his smiles today, we were able to get some sweet images for them.  I hope we’ll do another session together soon.  I love the shots of Hunter with Henry & Chenda.  They are such a cute couple and a great family.  Many of you know them from their business here in Diboll, the Donut Palace.  They’ve got the best breakfast & lunch in town so be sure to stop by and tell them hi!

It’s been a week full of babies and a week full of boys.  Thanks everyone for sharing these precious little guys with me!  And for those of you reading the blog who have little girls…it’s your turn!!  Give us a call if you’d like to schedule a childrens or family session.

Hayden, his mom and grandmother came by for a quick session so we could get a few images while he’s still a newbie!  Hayden is now 2 months old and while his mommy, Heather insists he’s getting “sooo big!”… he’s really still a wee little thing…but man, is he nosy!  He was the most alert 2 month old I’ve seen and so strong!  We were able to get some really sweet sleeping pictures…for the entire 4 minutes that he slept…haha!  And a few portraits of Hayden and Heather together.  She just radiates happiness every time she looks at her little man.

I usually don’t photograph a lot of babies but when William’s mom asked me a few weeks ago to take his first “real pictures”, I had to say yes!  William is just the cutest little boy and he has the sweetest personality…just like his mommy, Lynn!  He’s just learning how to sit up and he smiled and played most of the time we were together.  He got a little sleepy towards the end so look for more of William as we finish up next week.  Lynn, thanks so much for coming by and can’t wait to work with you again next week.

Damaris & Daniel braved the heat with me Friday morning for their engagement shoot but I’m so glad they did because they had a fabulous session!  They were alot of fun and let me try some new techniques.   They are planning a July wedding and we can’t wait to work with them on Damaris’ bridal session and their wedding.  We’ve got a few shots already in the works with them to go along with a new product we’ll be offering, ‘Picture Us’ wall art.  Here’s just a sampling of my favorites.  Enjoy!

Lindsay & Justin were married Saturday, surrounded by family and friends, with so much love, joy and tradition.  They celebrated in the same church where Lindsay’s parents married…and the mirror where Lindsay & her mom, LaDonna are adjusting the veil is the same mirror where her grandmother adjusted her mom’s veil on her parent’s wedding day.  Lindsay’s little bit of ’something old’ was a lace applique from LaDonna’s wedding gown tucked into her bouquet.  LaDonna’s uncle performed the ceremony, making this the third generation of their family that he’s joined & blessed.  After the ceremony & reception, they had a dance at Justin’s uncle’s place…which is a fabulous place to have a party!  

Here’s just a sneak peek of just a few of our favorites.  The traditions of the day inspired me to try some ‘lightly aged’ treatments that I’ve been playing with.   Lindsay, Justin and both of your families…Jeff & I thank you for letting us share in your day.  We hope you enjoy your portraits, have a great honeymoon and may God bless & keep you happy everyday for all the years to come !!

This morning I was working…or trying to work but Sar’s puppy, little Miss Sadie Mae, likes to play first thing in the morning and she brought over her favorite new toy to throw.  After tossing it for her a few times, I went back to work.  And she just sits there, watching me with the toy hanging in her mouth… then she drops the toy & brings out ‘the look’.  Anyone who has ever had kids knows this melt-your-heart look…and Sadie is smart enough to know just how cute she can be when she wants to be.  How could I resist, right?  But first I grabbed my camera & caught this shot before she turned back into her regular mischievious self.

Now back to work…
