Well, the painting is ALMOST finished!  Tomorrow we should be moving furniture and equipment in and hanging displays.  The phone is now hooked up.  The “grand opening” is getting closer & closer!  We will be setting a date soon for our Open House & Grand Opening!  Once we do (and the blog readers will be the first to know!), please come by & visit with us.  We’ll have a drawing for special door prizes.  Jeff & I have some great ideas for the studio in the coming months. 

I am soooooo excited about getting this space.  About 3 years ago while I was still working at the school, I’d looked at this very building and thought about using it for a studio but “real life” was just too hectic at the time.  Then I looked at it last fall when I saw it was vacant again…but Hurricane Ike came through and things were placed on hold once more.  So I’m truly thankful God’s blessed us with this now and to see how He works things out in His perfect timing.   And I’m also thankful to Jeff for his 100% support in doing this…and his after-hours carpentry skills!  He’s absolutely the BEST husband!

It’s been pointed out by a few… (and you know who you are, blog stalkers!!  haha!!)… that I’ve been neglecting the blog…which I have been but here’s my Top 10 Reasons for Not Faithfully Blogging These Past Few Weeks. 

10.  I’ve been sick…cough, cough…wheeze.  Ok… who in East Texas hasn’t been sick, right?  So I’ve decided to get better.  Whether my throat & sinuses go along with this decision is another story.

9.  Did you know that January and February is THE best time to take team sports?  I know this now!!  (Those orders should be delivered by end of February, by the way.)

8.  Almost 2 years since we moved in the house and we JUST finished staining and rehanging the doors for the other half of the kitchen cabinets…ok…Jeff did the 2nd half!  But I helped!

7.  Studio was crazy busy so I’ve been working on, well, ‘work’….I’m almost caught up and everyone’s proofing should be online and orders should be in within the next week.  

6.  You know the only bad thing about a bridal session?  Ya take a bunch of great images and can’t share them with the blogdom til AFTER the wedding!  LOL !

5.  My Nyquil soaked brain decided I had to sleep sometime.

2.  Planning, painting and packing…  Why, you may be wondering???

1.  Signed the lease today and will be MOVING INTO THE NEW STUDIO!!!  yeah!!

We’re hoping to be in and ready for business by the first of March.  For the first few months, it will still be by appointment only.  There will be a new physical address and phone number (which I will post as soon as I have it).  Business name, website, blog and email addresses will all stay the same.   There are a few more exciting things in the works and I’ll share them with you as soon as I’m able.

So while I haven’t blogged much these past few weeks… and possibly for the next week or so while we get things set up…please keep checking back with us!  I’ll post soon with more details as I get them.

This session was a blast!  Rachel & Chris are so cute and so cute together!  Rachel will have her hands full…’cause Chris is a mess!  LOL!  He had us cracking up the entire time. 

Guys, we had a great time with both of you.  Rachel, looking forward to working with you on your bridals and we can’t wait to see y’all in March for the wedding.
