Drew…Hudson senior

Hudson senior, Drew and his mom Kelly had me meet them at their home and a few other cool locations that they’d found.  We traipsed around Drew’s grandfather’s barn and out to the pond in the backyard.  My favorite of all is probably the one in front of the barn door…I caught him grinning right after he told me about the 6 foot rattlesnake he’d killed last year RIGHT where I was standing.   I let him know that bit of info he could have kept to himself!

Drew & Kelly…thanks for sharing your home with me and showing me some great new places.  Can’t wait to see the creek this summer.   Here’s a sneak peek…enjoy!

Chelsi…Diboll senior

I’ve known Chelsi for a couple of years now through cheerleading and drill team stuff.  She’s a lieutenant on Diboll’s Dazzler drill team this year and they are in the middle of preparing for their spring show.  Still she managed to fit in a quick session this week.  What I remember most from when I first met her is she’s always smiling &  laughing, likes to have alot of fun and is willing to try almost any new adventure…like a midnight trip to a local store, asking for autographs from complete strangers in football jerseys!!  haha…did you think I’d forgot about that one?  I loved you & Sar for having so much fun that night and getting everyone else to laugh!

Chelsi…I hope you had a great time…I did.  Keep smiling and always, always dream big, baby girl.

Kody….’Country’ senior

When Diboll senior, Kody arrived at the studio last week, the only thing I knew about him was what his mom told me on the phone…he was only doing this for her because he didn’t like having his picture taken and he’d be more comfortable in a country setting, that even a bunch of his friends call him ‘Country’.

I truly enjoyed working with Kody on his senior session.  We took a few frames…I showed him one or two of them.  The grin flashes…he loved ‘em.  From then on he trusted me and just  let himself enjoy being  in front of the camera.  I could tell him where and how I wanted him for the shot and before I could finish…he was there and making it his own.   A few clicks later,  he pulls down the cowboy hat, glances up & grins…the guy started working the camera!!  LOL

When he went to leave, the same guy who ‘didn’t like having his picture taken’  told me that anytime I need a guy to photograph to call him and he’ll model for me!  Now, Kody…that ranks right up there in my top 10 favorite compliments.  Thanks!

Kody…had a blast with y’all.   And you better believe that I’m going to take you up on that modeling offer!!  Hope you had fun and that you like them!

Rachel & Chris were married this weekend (beautiful wedding and reception that I’m downloading cards for at this very moment… will share later when I have time to get a few edited).  Even though we’ve photographed a number of weddings now, I had yet to photograph a bridal session.  Then we did Rachel’s & Tricia’s bridals both on the same day.

Rachel, it was alot of fun to work with you & Chris.  I know he’ll keep you laughing through life and you’ll keep him in line!! haha  Jeff & I enjoyed getting to know y’all and meeting your friends & families.  Can’t wait til the end of the summer to do that family session.

So here’s a quick sneak peek and will post a glimpse into their wedding day when I get a chance!

Raphael is a senior for Diboll and has played for Lumberjack football for several years now.  Raphael’s mom told us he is the oldest of her 4 boys so his younger brothers will be following in his footsteps out on the field.   The morning of his session was filled with this misty fog but I liked the addition of the gray day in some of the images.

Raphael will be going to Lon Morris in the fall where he will continue to play college ball and we know he’s got a bright future ahead of him.

Raphael…congrats on Lon Morris…thanks for coming in…and for smiling for us in a few!! haha….

(Special thanks to “T’ for being my assistant for the day!  Great to work with ya.)

Samantha…Hudson senior

I met Samantha and her mom at the prom spectacular in January.  After a couple of reschedules, I’d started wondering if we would ever have nice weather to get her session in.  Well…God’s timing really is PERFECT!  Because the day we were finally able to get together was gorgeous and everything came together for us.   I’ve had the hardest time narrowing down her images for the blog because she’s stunning in all of them.   Sam and her mom came in last night to view her proofs and at nearly every image we’d all say, “that’s my favorite!”…then another click…”and that one!”.

Samantha is absolutely adorable as well as being one of the sweetest girls ever.   She is shortstop for the Lady Hornets softball team and is involved in theater as well.

Sam & Norma…It’s been such a pleasure getting to know y’all and Norma, I still insist it is NOT my fault it was hard to choose, but yours for having such a beauty for a daughter!  haha!!

Tricia and Sam’s wedding was yesterday so I can finally share Tricia’s bridal session.  Tricia is one of the sweetest people and she was a beautiful bride.  Even with the rain yesterday, the wedding was just gorgeous! Their families are fantastic people and Jeff & I enjoyed getting to share in their day.  I’ll be posting a sneak peek from their wedding later this week.

Tricia, it’s been a joy to get to know you!  You & Sam have a great honeymoon!!
