Erica & Tracy are married!

Filed under Seniors • Written by Allison @ 7:03 pm

I realized this morning that it’s been awhile since I blogged any wedding images.  I’ve been editing several and getting them all uploaded this week.  While waiting for Erica & Tracy’s to process this afternoon, I put together this collage of my favorites from the wedding.  They had a gorgeous wedding and everyone had so much fun that day.  Here’s the sneak peek for now.

Look for more blog posts from other recent weddings later this week…

This little dumplin’ came to see me this morning and I am SOOO glad she did!  Miss Kimber is one of the happiest little girlies…and why wouldn’t she be?  Her grandpa, grandma, mom and big sister were all here telling her how pretty she was and making her smile.   Such a sweetheart, even with 4 new teeth on the way in, she was a happy girl.  And I’m so glad they brought the pink & brown tutu her grandma made for her so I got to try out one of the new backgrounds.

Here are a few from her session that I just had to share then I’m back to wedding edits…

Dixie Youth Baseball Tournament…collage samples

A Dixie Youth baseball tournament is being held here in Diboll this week.  Lots of action out on the field, if you get a chance, go see them tonight and tomorrow.  These young men are all playing hard!!  Jeff and Josh have enjoyed covering the games and although I haven’t made it out to the field to watch, it’s been great “seeing” the plays as I’m editing the pictures to put online.

So the story behind these collages.  Jeff comes into the studio late last night, showed me a few images.   Two of Panola’s players had a collision outfield.  Jeff told me that he wanted to get something printed up for the two of them.  (Here’s the collages we designed for them.)   These two guys both went after the flyball…and they hit HARD!!  I spoke with Ben’s aunt today and she said they thought he was ok, but is getting checked out today just to be sure.  Still, he’s hoping to be back in Diboll tonight to finish the tournament.  Hope Keillin is ok as well.  Ben’s aunt also informed me that Panola did score the out on that play.  Way to hang in there, guys!

We wish all the remaining teams the best of luck!  Y’all have a great night tonight.   To view more tournament images, CLICK HERE ~~~Allison, Jeff & Josh

Last Thursday I had Sarah all to myself!!  FINALLY!!!  It seems like I never get to see her anymore.  I took her out to eat, then shopping.  She bought a cool new ring and I found a cool new prop.  We couldn’t wait to try out the new chair.  Since she wanted some new pictures and I wanted to see how my back would stand up to an outdoor session…we took off late in the afternoon to see what we could do.  Here are a few I did a quick edit on for her facebook page.

Note to Sar…don’t dare me…I just might do it! haha  Luvya baby!!

(Now back to working on the baseball tournament.  I think Jeff and Josh are doing a great job covering the games!)

Erica…bridals

Erica and Tracy were married this past Saturday so I can safely post her bridal session now and finish the story of Carey & Erica’s bridal  session.

So as I blogged earlier in Carey’s bridal post , we were photographing both Erica and Carey’s bridal portraits in a field at Southern Stables in Lufkin…complete with “cows” (as we’d been referring to them).  Just as we get Erica set up to start her portraits in the field, the owner of Southern Stables calls to us, “Y’all might want to start heading over here” and points across the field towards the “cows”.  We all turn to see that they have slowly started to amble towards us.  At this point, let me emphasize the SLOW and the AMBLE part!  They still had over half the field to cross and didn’t look that interested in us at the moment.  But Erica, her mom, Jeff and I…we all seemed to be in agreement right then about several issues.  Like, that the “cows” really aren’t “cows” so much as they are L-O-N-G-horns…and the horns on the longhorns look alot more intimidating at the closer vantage point and we’d all rather have the fence between them and us.

So Erica and her mom gather up the dress and flowers then start towards the gate.  Jeff, thinking about the issues with my back and leg, tells me to follow them while he gets the bag and equipment…so I do this crazy limpy-gallop to follow them and urging Jeff to be quick.  So we’re trying to figure out the catch on the gate and all look back  to see the longhorns have decided they don’t want to miss the party!  So they come galloping after us…the leader is just shaking his horns at us.  When we finally all get safely on the other side, they were right there behind us!  I realized then just how much appreciation I need to have for a herd of “cows” next time I enter their territory!

Anyway, we get everything set up again, this time on the SAFE side of the fence…then the adrenaline and relief hits us and we all burst out laughing.  That’s when I got the shot of Erica below…which is one of my favorites.
