Just a reminder for those seniors who came in the first week for their cap & gown sessions and received a 50% off session fee coupon. You must call and book your appointment before September 30th in order to use this coupon. The session can be scheduled for anytime between now and November 15, 2009…but you must get it on the calendar before September 30th to get the 50% off!

And for those seniors who did not get a chance to receive the coupon…you can get in on the savings as well when we have our ONE DAY sale…. Wednesday September 30th, from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Get a few dates in mind for when you would like to schedule your session. Have your credit card handy to pay the remainder of the session fee. Then call the studio and tell us you want to book your session for half the regular price. That’s all there is to it!

Meet Samantha! I’ve known Samantha several years, through church and through Dazzlers. She’s a little on the quiet side at first but has a great personality and loves to laugh! She came in for a quick session last week and we got to play with a few new backgrounds. Samantha…hope you had fun and you did a great job!! See you soon!

DHS 2010 SENIORS: 

You have until Tuesday 9/15 to schedule your FREE yearbook portrait session.   

We will be set up for the sessions on Monday and Tuesday through 7pm.  I have a few appointments still available for these dates so call ahead to schedule.  (A $15 session fee will be charged for sessions scheduled from 9/16 to 10/15.  After October 16th, students wanting to take yearbook portraits will need to schedule a session at our regular rates.)

Senior Yearbook portrait orders:  The seniors who had YB portraits taken the week of 8/17-8/21 received their proofs and order forms last week.   These orders may be turned in Friday 9/11/09.   If you need more time, you may turn your orders in with the 2nd proof group on 9/25/09.

Students who rescheduled YB portraits (appts held 8/24 to 9/4) will be receiving their proofs and order forms tomorrow.  These orders will be due 9/25.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing both Corrigan-Camden’s Varsity and Junior High cheer teams.  They were so much fun to be around and really excited about the session…so I thought I would post a quick sneak peek  while I finish getting the rest of the images ready to proof.  Here’s a sample of their special team poster and a couple of collage samples.  One of the team sponsors is Ms. Lindsay…one of the first brides Jeff & I photographed!  She had her baby girl, Allie with her and we had a quick mini-session for her.  With 13 gorgeous “big sis’s” to look up to, Allie is going to be a cheerleader through and through!

(Quick reminder before the proofs are posted:  If you pre-ordered a package, your proofs will be posted online so you may choose your image for your package.  If you did not pre-order a package, you can still place an order by either calling it in with a credit card or mail it in to the studio and we will then add your images to the proofing system.)

This past month has been SUPER busy and next month looks to be even busier.  Jeff & I…(and lately even Josh & Sarah)…are pitching in and  doing our best to keep everything running smoothly to stay on top of everything.   We want each clients experience with us to be a positive one.  Recently we’ve looked at a few areas that we felt need some attention and are in the process of changing a few things to speed up our workflow & order turnaround time.  The first set of changes deals with our current proofing timeline & ordering system, our team sports policies and image archiving.

PROOFING / ORDERING:  Effective September 1st, all sessions will have a Preview / Ordering appointment approximately 7 – 14 days after your session.   Anyone involved in the decision making process for the order needs to be present at the Preview / Order appointment.  There is just no way we can show our clients all the product options we offer with online proofing…so we are phasing it out.  We understand that you may need more time to finalize your decisions and occasionally exceptions will have to be made for out of town clients.   In those instances, clients can place a non-refundable order advance and complete the order process in the comfort of their home with their choice of an Image Catalog or a 5 day online gallery.

SPORTS / SCHOOL POLICIES:  Effective September 1st, all sports orders must be placed within 45 days of original picture day.  Sports team images will be archived after this time and a $5 late order fee will apply.

SPECIAL SPORTS TEAM SESSION PROOFING:  In the past, we have not offered online proofing for any team or individual sports images because each student had only one pose choice for their  package.  However, we’ve recently had several teams come in for special studio sessions and had several poses to choose from and need online proofing.  For these sessions, once a student pre-orders their package, their proofs will be posted so they may make pose selections for their package and any additional collages they order.  (However, you will not be able to order through this online system.  Orders will need to be turned into coaches/sponsors or mailed/dropped at the studio.)

IMAGE ARCHIVING:  Effective September 1st, sessions will be considered ’open’ for orders for 45 days after session date.  After this time images will go to archives and orders after that date will be charged an archive fee.   Images that have not been ordered will not be archived.
