Many of you will remember one of the first weddings we photographed was Damaris & Daniel.  Well, they now have one of the sweetest little girls, Danai.  About halfway through the session I finally got the pronunciation correct…Dan-ah-ee.  Danai started out playing hard to get for me & mom but was soon smiling and talking for her Dad and a very silly Mr. Jeff.  She is already learning to use that smile to wrap a guy around her little finger…and from the looks of things, proud Dad Daniel is happily wrapped around hers!! 

Here’s a few from her session.  Her mom & grandma made her this hot pink & black zebra tutu dress and headband.  Isn’t it the cutest!  Damaris & Daniel…we enjoyed Danai so much.  She’s precious.  Thanks for bringing her by.

~~~ UPDATE Monday 2:30~~~  I will be working part time this week at the studio (week of 12th to the 18th) and office will be closed 18th to 25th.  I will keep this post at the top of the page over the next few weeks and update it as I know more.

We recently…in the last 2 weeks… found out that our son, Josh has “Chiari Malformation”.  Basically part of his brain extends past his skull into the spinal canal.  This creates a buildup of spinal fluid & pressure and brings on headaches, neck pain and was causing a cyst to develop in his spinal cord…there were some nerve problems and if left untreated, would cause major nerve damage.  Josh has  decided to go in for surgery to correct the problem. 

UPDATE  Josh’s surgery has been postponed until week of 18th to 25th.   He had been scheduled for Tuesday the 13th, but because he had taken ibuprofen recently for his headaches and it can cause complications with the surgery he’ll have to wait another 5 to 7 days.  So we’ll be going in for surgery sometime next week.   He’ll be in the hospital for anywhere from 4 to 7 days after the surgery then another 4 to 6 weeks to recover. 

I will be in and out of the studio from the 12th to the 18th, helping Josh get a few things taken care of before the surgery.  Then the studio will be closed 18th to 25th while we are at the hospital with him. 

I am currently calling those of you with sessions scheduled to reschedule as needed.  For those of you who are expecting picture orders, most of those orders will be here before the 18th and I will call or email you to schedule a time for pick-up.

If you have had a session recently, I will be proofing images this week and scheduling viewing appointments as possible.

Allison & Jeff Hearne

Hannah and I did a quick session this past weekend in the studio…with lots of giggling and silliness. Crazy weather kept us from getting the outdoor part of the session but we’ll get that done in a few weeks. Here’s a slideshow to give you a quick glimpse…

Meet Hannah W!   Drew’s mom, Kelly suggested Hannah for one of our senior models.  So glad she did!  Hannah is on Huntington’s High Stepper dance team and I can’t wait for her to come back in for some fun dance stuff.   Because of the rain, we stayed indoors but keep an eye out for her outdoor session soon.

Hannah is one of our 2010 FACES models for Huntington. So check out her session video.  Next week she’ll have her Image Book with the rest of her images and her cards!  Be sure to ask her for one of her cards to get a special AHP bonus when you book your session before December 30th.

Ruby came in Saturday for the first part of her session package and we played around with a few new backgrounds.  She’s got the most incredible smile…and is smiling most of the time!  Little brother Luis was my assistant for the day.  Ruby brought in this cute leather coat which belonged to her grandmother so we could do a few shots with it.  Here’s a sneak peek video from her session. Little Miss TraeLynn visited me yesterday…her one week old birthday!  Such a sweetie!   A few weeks ago when the C-C cheerleaders were here, Janise mentioned they would bring her new niece in once she arrived.  So, so glad they did!!

Carey & Russ were married this past June and while they’ve had their proofs for awhile…I hadn’t blogged them.  So here they are…thank you Carey for being so patient!   They had a gorgeous day for their wedding and the Hawaiian theme that Russ wanted was great fun.  The guests all came dressed in luau attire…perfect for the warm summer day.

Carey was all smiles, all day!  She just glowed.  Probably my favorite image of the day is one Jeff captured.  Just after Brother Buster pronounces them “Man & Wife”, you can just see in Carey’s expression….”YEEESSSS!!!”  

Carey & Russ…I hope every day is as happy and blessed as this one!
